Tethered Cord Syndrome of Adult Onsset
Abstract
A 49-year-old male was admitted with complaints of low back pain and worsening of urinary incontinence. These symptoms had been appeared 20 years ago, and again 5 years ago, respectively and then subjective paraparesis appeared and worsened above symptoms progressively. Metrizamide CT myelography and MRI revealed low seated spinal cord at 5th lumbar level and lipoma was continued on.
We reviewed the literatures and could be considered that the adult onset tethered cord syndrome might be milder form than that of childhood onset.
